Marriage and Family Therapy Course
Developmental Stages and the Life Cycle of the Family
in a Multicultural Framework

Course Description: This course will explore developmental stages and the family life cycle within cultural and social perspectives. We will review myths regarding the family, as well as review the evolution of the American family. The genogram will be explored as an assessment tool and a healing experience. We will pay particular attention to the diversity of current family forms, as well as cultural diversity and gender issues.
Approved
by the Georgia Composite Board for MFT Course required for licensure.
(45 hours - semester course)
(15 hours CEU credits for related disciplines)
Course
Requirements: Participants must attend 80%
of classes and receive 80% or better on graded assignments
and exams.
