Atlanta Area Resources
- Grief counseling – Counseling for individuals, couples, and families, including telephone counseling.
- Support Groups – For Survivors of Suicide (S.O.S.)
- SOS Support Team – Upon request, survivor team members will visit with newly bereaved individuals and families in their homes.
- Postvention/Aftercare – Following a suicide, mental health professionals and survivors will respond to schools, businesses, and any group in the community needing support and guidance.
- Resource Library – Library of helpful books and other literature on the subjects of grief and life after a loss by suicide.
National Resources
- Referrals - For Support Groups for Survivors of Suicide (S.O.S.)
- Telephone Counseling – For survivors and caregivers.
- SOS Support Team Training – The NRC trains individuals and organizations to set up SOS Support Teams in their communities. The Team consists of trained survivors and mental health professionals. Upon request, team members will visit with newly bereaved individuals and families.
- Resource Material – Resources include a Survivors of Suicide Packet of information and The Journey, a survivor newsletter.
- Information Referrals – Concerning other resources and organizations.
